Time flies so quickly. It has been ten years for the jointly offered education program between Zhejiang University and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
The ten years have witnessed the Center’s objective of training business elite and constructing top institution， coupled with each advantage and international advanced management education conception and mode, creating a group of business professionals with international competitiveness.
With the support from the State Education Ministry and joint efforts of both universities，those programs have proved so fruitful. Master programs of science in quality management, tourism and hotel management and bachelor program in science of nursing have respectively passed expert’s evaluation by State Council Office of Academic Degree. Master Program of international real estate has won recognition from the RICS，and EMBA program has passed international identification of AMBA. In 2006, all the programs were successfully eligible for the re-examination by the State Education Ministry，providing a historical opportunity for better and more rapid development.
Blessed by the geographical advantage and the best part of the traditional culture, I expect both universities will develop a broader field for cooperation and reach a higher level. Our constant creation and pursuit of the best will come up with more and more high caliber managing staff with international perspective and creativity.

        I first extend my cordial congratulations to the tenth anniversary of the International Executive Development Center.
Recently, our motherland has experienced economic reform, achieved the membership of the WTO, and developed the west，so it is high time that we trained high caliber personnel in management.
Ten years ago, Zhejiang University and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University founded the International Executive Development Center，which gives full play to both advantages，offers quality and high level management training courses，and cultivates managing staff with international perspective and creativity.
Since its founding，the Center has supplied so many talented personnel with international competitiveness. Today, it is a training institute with the most jointly offered programs of high level and wide academic coverage. Besides, the Center works hard to conduct international cooperation and exchange，so far having established nice relationship with Cambridge University UK and Toronto University Canada，thus providing a platform for the faculty and participants for communication with the world top universities.
Looking at the future，I firmly believe that the Center will continue to provide each social circle with opportunities of advanced study based on the cooperation between both sides，and the participants will constantly widen their international perspective and knowledge，promoting the human resource quality for our country.
